About
Robert Monte Niro’s beginnings are rooted in a home of young artist parents. Robert would watch and learn to cut through his mother, who was a hairstylist. He would eventually hone his own cutting skills in adolescents and into adulthood.
Robert finds his deepest inspiration in the 1920s to 1950s hairstyles with a modern blend of taper fading.
His appreciation for the abstract and existentialism is why he chose the name L’enfer Lounge, which directly translates to “Hell Salon” in French — Inspired by the name of a turn of the century French cabaret (Cabaret de L’Enfer) whose opposite venue was called “El Ciel” or “Heaven”.
